Construction of a new, high performance school. The project is seeking MA-CHPS (Collaborative for High-Performance Schools) certification and will employ numerous green strategies including daylighting to reduce artificial lighting, a photovoltaic array to generate electricity on site, high efficiency boilers, chiller, and energy recovery ventilators, low-flow plumbing fixtures, and continuous foam insulation on the exterior of the foundation, walls, and roof.
