Mary Eliza Mahoney House | Roxbury, MA
Complete renovation of the north wing of the Dimock Community Health Center's historic Sewall Building, which now offers 28 transitional housing units for homeless families. The masonry building was completely gutted and its concrete floors reinforced to satisfy today's structural requirements. Because the building is a historic structure, the exterior facade was not significantly changed, and the building's more than 130 windows were painstakingly restored rather than replaced.
