Breaking Ground

Kicking off construction for their new science center, the Tenacre Country Day School hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on May 15th. Students from each grade were invited to participate, breaking ground alongside Christian Elliot, The Head of School, and members of the Board of Trustees.

Chapman was selected as the Construction Manager for the project, which includes both renovations and a 3,000 sf addition to the existing science center. “Keeping the pupils and summer campers safe is foremost in our minds, particularly in the early stages of construction as we excavate for new utilities and the foundation for the addition,” says Chapman’s Executive Project Manager, George Dyroff. Chapman is partnering with Olson Lewis + Architects and Goldstein-Milano Structural Engineers on this project, which is expected to be complete in the fall.
