We’re delighted to announce the founding of an annual Chapman Construction/Design Scholarship for Advancing Sustainability at Boston’s Wentworth Institute of Technology. Beginning this fall, two deserving students will be awarded scholarships in recognition for their outstanding academic achievement and commitment to sustainable construction and design.
“Our partnership with Chapman is truly a model for collaboration between higher education and industry,” said Wentworth President Dr. Zorica Panti?, President. “In addition to Chapman’s active involvement in our students’ education through participation in the cooperative education program, as guest lecturers, and as members of the industry professional advisory committee, the Chapman Construction/Design sustainability scholarship program will make a difference in the lives of students and help to further the studies of sustainability.”
It’s Chapman’s commitment to sustainable practices and to our employees that has helped keep us vibrant in the current economy – Chapman is delighted to offer these young professionals an opportunity to follow the same path.
“We’re proud to partner with Wentworth on this exciting scholarship program as we have a long-standing relationship with the school and our organization is filled with Wentworth alumni,” says Senior Vice President John Ferreira (’81) “In this market, we want to reward students that recognize the direction of the construction industry and who further the academic pursuits of sustainability.”
