Expanding Our Healthcare Portfolio

Chapman has a long history of working with healthcare clients. Some of our earliest projects include a historic restoration of the Dimmock Community Health Center in Roxbury and a renovation of the Alzheimer’s unit in the former St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lowell. Through the years, we’ve maintained several long-term relationships with clients including Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates and Encompass Health (formerly HealthSouth). As we continue to grow our healthcare portfolio, we’d like to share a few exciting projects we’ve been working on:

Newton-Wellesley Hospital Primary Care Suite
Chapman completed this gut renovation of two existing medical suites in an occupied hospital. The new space includes eight exam rooms, two procedure rooms, a nurses’ station, clean/soiled utility rooms, administrative offices, and a waiting/reception area.

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital
Chapman recently completed phase one of a multi-year project to update five occupied patient wings. The project will include a refresh of 95 patient suites, the nurses’ stations, physical therapy areas, and a new lobby and café. Working in an occupied hospital, Chapman has been working closely with infection control staff to maintain patient health and safety.

Brigham & Women’s Hingham – Primary Care
Currently underway, Chapman is building out a new primary care facility which will be completed this fall. The new space will include 12 exam rooms, a procedure room, a phlebotomy lab, a reception area, and administrative offices.

Chapman’s healthcare market sector is led by Senior Project Manager Jason Grinacoff and is supported by Project Manager Justin Powers, who has helped grow Chapman’s presence in the northern market.
