Free IAQ Seminar at Chapman April 29th

“Sustainable, Healthy Airside Solutions for Commercial Buildings”

Registered architects and LEED APs can earn credit toward their professional designations by attending a series of programs offered by Chapman Construction/Design, an approved provider of LEED CMP and AIA CEU courses.

The first of these programs will be a free one-hour presentation by Aircuity co-founder David Belleville on air quality monitoring and data acquisition at 4 p.m. April 28 at Chapman’s headquarters, 84 Winchester St., Newton.

Drawing on more than 25 years experience with commercial HVAC systems, David will discuss:

  • new ventilation standards and how they affect indoor environmental quality;
  • how new technology can significantly reduce energy consumption through more intelligent control of outside air;
  • how Demand Based Control can safely reduce air change rates in labs and vivariums to cut energy consumption;
  • the challenges in applying variable ventilation strategies in commercial buildings;
  • lessons learned from case studies of major facilities employing these new approaches.

This session, developed and vetted by Chapman, will be of particular interest to those who work with institutional clients or in lab buildings. While there is no charge to attend, space is limited, so please register in advance by e-mailing Courtney Borelli

Attendees are eligible for LEED AP and AIA continuing education credit.
